Does anybody know about antropology or sociology?

Question

I need to take one of these classes for college general ed course but don't know which one would be interesting to take, I dont know what either of them are about can anyone help?

take anthropology, trust me, i took both and anthro was fascinating, sociology was painful.

take sociology because it encompasses alot of antrapology the only difference is that antrapology focuses on the individual but sociology focuses on the group as a whole. If you do socialisation in sociology that is most like antrapology.

why not do one year in one and the other year in the other one?

Hands down, Anthro is much better.

Sociology is boring and you will get very sick of it.

Antro is defined as the study of all humans in all places at all times.

Sociology is relatively the same thing only more broad. It tends to focus on groups and societies as a whole where as Anthropology is more holistic in it's study.

Oh I think Anthropology is much more interesting plus a lot of sociologist just use studies done by Anthropologist anyway. Take an intro to an Anthropology class you will enjoy it.

Here is the definition of Anthropology: The scientific study of the origin, the behavior, and the physical, social, and cultural development of humans.

Anthropology is has four sub fields: Cultural Anthro. Archaeology, Linguistic & Physical Anthropology. Its all very interesting.

Definition to Sociology: Analysis of a social institution or societal segment as a self-contained entity or in relation to society as a whole.
