Does anybody know about frogs?

I have recently noticed that my garden is becoming a regular frog hotel. I don't mind it, I kinda like them. And I think they're probably good for the garden-since they eat bugs. But, I have no idea where they are coming from. There's a river, but it's about a mile away, and these frogs are tiny-I can't see them coming all that way safely. They are very small- bodies about the size of a quarter, some are bright green, some are regular frog colored (dark green and spotted) and some are white. Is there a species of frog that doesn't need water in the beginning? A species that isn't a polly wag first? I'm just very confused. Any thoughts are appreciated.

  1. If you go kiss one it will turn into a Prince.

  2. small pools deep puddles ponds there's loads of places they could be coming from. there are a few species that dont do the whole spawn thing but only a few

  3. Well, they could be coming from anywhere really. If one of your neighbors had a small pond in their yard then they could come from there. I have a lot of frogs in my yard to and they start out small but by this time next year they will be much bigger. Most of the species of frogs need water to grow up, and so these frogs started out somewhere that had water and then eventually made their way to your yard.
