Hi

my grandfather and grand mother came from Alta Villa years ago to the USA> any body know about Giovannina Assunta Richetta Porcaro? Tamassia or Polcari Thay lived in Alta Villa 30 miles east of Naples?

  1. Sorry, Don't know those names. About 75% of the Italians that emigrated to the USA prior to 1940 were from Southern Italy, Specifically the provinces of Naples, Salerno, Avelino, Reggio Calabria and Foggia.


  2. Definitely sounds Italian/Sicilian.  Check similar spellings in houseofnames.com
