Yes, I know about it.  It's not really much of a secret at all.  Just some basic psychology, spiritual karma, and a dash of magical wishful-thinking thrown together.  Not to say that it doesn't work at least in a sense, but not in the way that most people think of it.  The "law of attraction" is not a principle of physics, it's more like a self-induced mental illusion.

I agree with So-Crates.  How negative must the entire population of Africa be to have the universe send them a constant barrage of poverty, war, hunger, AIDS epidemic, locust swarms, drought, lion attacks and terrorists.  They should cheer up.  That should fix it, if "The Secret" is to be believed.

Yes, its that new age inspirational way of thinking or philosophy. But, if u look deeper, its underlying fundamental philosophy comes from the teachings of God the Almighty. It depends on how you view this 'secret.'

The 'Law of Attraction" is very real.  And it is not something 'new age' or even new.  It is a very old and a very true thing.  Put it into practice and see for your self.

It is new age woo woo. Its c**p. There is no Law of Attraction, unless youre discussing magnets.

Sure, there is something to be said about the power of positive thinking. But lets get real - you can be as positive as you want and the universe is not going to answer you and give you a million dollars. You are STILL going to have to work for it... but as long as you think positively, your chances of obtaining a million dollars is greater than if you thought negatively about it.

Consider this: according to the authors, everything bad that happens to us happens because we somehow attractive negativity towards us. Now, try to figure out how that applies to a child that is raped...what could a child do to attract a rapist?!?! The idea of a law of attraction is utterly ridiculous and it was designed for one thing: to generate LOTS of money. It is basically new age religion - no need to believe in God, when you can ask the Universe to answer your prayers! And it will!!! Yeah, right.
