Does anybody know about singer sewing machines?

I was given 2 sewing machines model: merritt 3145 (its little, white and maroon in color) and a creative touch fashion machine 1036 (its tan). I would love to sew and these work when i plug them in... just needed some help on if they are good machines or not. Or even how to tell if they are?? Please help!!!!

I have a Singer from the early 1960's, still going strong and love it.  Sorry, I don't know about your particular models.  I wanted to leave you the link for Singer, as they have product information and manuals.  It's a helpful site.

If no one has any info. on your models, I'd certainly try to sew on them.  Mine is really old and still works like a charm.

Hope some out here knows about these exact models for you.
