Does anybody know about video production?

i filmed a movie on my friends mac notebook bc i didnt have the connection cord for my camera to hook up to the computer and now idk how to edit a movie on this computer and i would prefer to do it on a windows. Is there any way to transfer that. Like can i burn it to a cd and then open it in nero?

  1. I would suggest that you get a firewire, the cable to transfer video.  It would be easier than taking clips off of the camera.


  2. Yeah you should be able to track down the video file, burn it to cd or dvd, then transfer it to your PC. You do need video editing software (like on the mac there is a program that came with the laptop called iMove). I'm a little confused, did you record using a webcam?

  3. If you prefer using Windows to edit the movie, you'll have to transfer it to a PC. You can burn the file to a CD then simply drag it from the CD onto your desktop (or another folder), or use a usb key.

    If you want to edit in Windows Movie Maker, however, you'll have to convert the video file from a .mov to a .wmv so that it is compatible. Simply search "mov to wmv" for a program that can do this.

    If you don't want to do this, iMovie is a very simple to use and intuitive program that should allow you to easily edit your movie.
