Paint.net is very good.

Needs .net framework though.

The GIMP is also good.

Alot of people use it and I suggest it.

Adope Photoshop is the best but you have to pay for it

You can't downloadit - but I used blibs.com a lot when editing. It was similar to photoshop.

If your looking at freeware for photo editing then MS paint and Gimp work.

If your looking for something a bit more advanced but not as complex and pointless as photoshop then try Adobe Photoshop Elements.

Its a basic point and click version of photoshop without all the added rubbish that you dont need and will never use.

Will add though photoshop elements isnt free but it is worth checking out if you know anything about how to make software free.
