It's one of those instruments that's like a flute. I need another one because the one I have is broken, and I don't know where I can buy another like them.

  1. almost any music store,wall-mart,target,some drugstores You can find them almost any where but for the bet quality go to a music store

  2. You should be able to find one at any musical instrument shop. If you have none in your area, try the Internet. Since it's a popular school training instrument, check with a local secondary school's music / art department for a recommended source.

  3. If you're interested in a quality recorder (as opposed to the out of tune toys sold at your local department store) then check out Boulder Early Music online.  http://www.bems.com/

The Yamaha 300 series plastic sopranos are as good an instrument as many of the wooden instruments.  The Yamaha 20 series and Aulos sopranos are tons better than anything you'd by at a local discount store.

If you'd like to step up to a wooden model, Moeck and Mollenhauer are outstanding options.  If you've never seen the price of these more professional instruments - prepare yourself for a sticker shock.

Woodwind and Brasswind (http://www.wwbw.com/Hohner-Recorders---W... carries the Hohner wooden models.  These are an excellent introduction to the wooden instrument at a reasonable price.
