I used to live in Houston and move to Corpus Christi Texas; and the one thing that I used to look forward was to going to eat at Pino's restaurant. The restaurant was so pleasant and have a really delicious food. Marvid Zingler was right; we started going there because of him. I have family from Italy and I know what home made Italian sauce taste like and Pino's sure had it. I wish that the Pino's family would make up their mind and open a location. The Pino family is driving me crazy!!!!!

  1. Pino's is now closed. I think it closed around 2002.  I think the story is that they had an offer they couldn't refuse for that corner on Westheimer. But I also remember that they had another piece of property and were going to reopen.  It was Marvin Zindler's favorite.  I remember seeing him there one time at lunch.  The food was very delicious.

  2. My husband (soon to be ex) asked me to marry him in December 1996 at Pino's.  It disappeared after that about 2 years later is my guess.  It has be demolished.  As far as a new restaurant goes, I haven't seen anything.  And I would have noticed.

Fred's Italian Corner at Greenbriar and Holcombe is a nice little family restaurant.  Might try that...
