Does anybody know in the Disney Movie Lady and the Tramp the scene where the tramp and lady are together walking in the night and put their initials in the wet cement and a heart. What do the initials JM & EB stand for???? Just curious.

Thanks in advance everyone!

  1. I had heard it was for two of the animators, who fell in love while making the film and this was a nod to them

  2. IM not sure cuz the last time i sa that movie was like 5 years ago but isnt the initials for their name...not sure home i helped though..

  3. Throughout that entire montage, the movie shows human courtships paralleling what Lady and the Tramp are doing. Cuddling on the hill, etc. These people are all faceless, they're just put there to show how the dogs' love is similar to human love, helping us understand it better. I think they were just some random initials put there to show what the dogs were trying to accomplish... a symbol of the immortality of their love. Audiences would recognize initials in a heart and connect it to the dogs' actions. Otherwise people would have just gone "oops, the dogs stepped in cement".

Or it's another 'secret meaning' thing Disney slipped into the movie.

  4. In the movie, while Lady and Tramp are strolling through the town at night, they come across a heart with two people's initials that were drawn into wet cement. The initials are someone else's, but the two dogs then make pawprints inside the heart. The initials are believed to be a homage to famous children's authors J.M. Barrie and Elwyn Brooks White.

  5. to be honest no one knows why the disney artists used these specific initials
