Does anybody know how long it takes to get an approval letter for an I-130 application?

My mother is a US citizen and she has been applied a I-130 for me 3 years ago. I am in the third category and I am from Europe.

At the moment, it takes 8 years for an F3 immigrant petition to become valid or current from the time it is filed. You can check this out for yourself at http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bullet...

The priority date for F3 petitions is now 8 June 2000, which means that only petitions filed on or before that date are valid for use.

not sure about that but actually at www.uscis.gov you can check the processing times of your kind of case and the service center your case is being reviewed. they update it once a month so you can have an idea.
