  1. i have same receipe as Ms. chutzpahoney has described. but in addition i do add some very fine chopped onions before adding tomatoes. I also add some grated paneer and chedar cheeze at the end and let it cook for 1 more min. onions and paneer do taste good.

  2. you are aware pasta contains eggs, an animal product, aren't you? why do so many vegs ask for animal / substitute recipes?

  3. chutz had it about right.  Add some summer squash or zucchini

  4. Are you asking how to cook a pasta recipe, or how to actually make pasta from scratch? If you want to make it from scratch, search the internet and you'll find stuff. If you want a pasta dish recipe, use No Yolks wide noodles. And boil them, then add any or all veggies!! But, I can't understand eating meatless. I think I am a carnivore!! Where's the beef?

  5. bruce k there is no eggs in the pasta.

There is a kind of pasta with eggs but the original recipe is without eggs

  6. Ingredients

Fusilli pasta (in different colours) 1 cup

    Red pepper 1 medium sized

    Carrot  1 medium sized

    Onion    1 medium sized

    Garlic 4-5 cloves

    Olive oil 4 tbsps

    Salt to taste

    Tomato puree ½ cup

    Pepper powder ¼ tsp

    Fresh cream ¼ cup

    Dried basil ½ tsp

    Fresh parsley     a few sprigs

    METHOD

    1. Wash pepper and carrot. De-seed pepper and cut into one-inch sized pieces. Peel carrot and slice thinly. Peel and wash onion and slice thinly. Peel and chop garlic. Place pepper, carrot and onion on a tray and sprinkle one tablespoon of olive oil and cook in the oven at 180 degree C for ten minutes.

    2. Boil sufficient water in a deep pan with salt. Add one tablespoon of oil and cook different coloured fusilli pasta in it till al dente. Drain and refresh in cold water. Add one tablespoon olive oil and mix.

    3. Remove the vegetables from the oven and blend with a little water in a mixer.

    4. Heat two tablespoons of olive oil in a pan and add chopped garlic, vegetable puree, tomato puree, salt, pepper powder and simmer for five minutes.

    5.  Add boiled pasta and mix.

    6. Add fresh cream and mix. Add dried basil.

    7. Transfer onto a serving dish and garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

  7. boil some noodles until they r soft

  8. the pasta I like is made in a dish. First you boil some penne or maccaroni,( not too soft, leave them a little hard uncooked) put them in a dish, always layer of noodles, on top some small cut vegetable like chopped carrots, a few french beans, peas, zucchini, than a little grated cheese, next layer of noodles, and keep repeating till dish is full. fill up the whole thing with a micture of cream, tomato pulp, add some salt and gol mirch and chilli, some italian herbs, some tulsi patta,

and pour it over the noodle mix. The last you add is some more cheese on the top, and than you bake the whole thing in the oven for 45 Minutes or till the  cheese is melted and slight brown. take it out, and let it rest for 5 minutes, than serve it with a bowl of fresh mixed salad with balsamico dressing.

You will love it. You can vary it with seasonal vegetable every time. Very nice is also broccoli pieces in it.

  9. make pasta pomodoro:

    1 pkg. penne pasta

6-8 really good, ripe tomatoes, chopped (1 inch cubes, roughly)

    1-2 cloves garlic, depending on your taste, minced or crushed;

1 tbs. dried or 3 tbs. fresh minced basil

    olive oil and parmesan cheese

chop your tomatoes and mince your garlic quite fine.  Heat 2 tbs. olive oil in a large skillet and saute garlic over medium heat for 2 minutes.  Add tomatoes, dash salt and pepper if necessary, and let cook over medium heat for ten minutes or until slightly cooked down and thickened.  Add basil and let cook for 5 more minutes. While you are doing this, you can boil 2 qts. water to which you've added 2 tsp. salt.  At the boil, add your penne and cook for 10-12 mins. until tender but not mushy (al dente, or "to the tooth").  Drain pasta well and toss w/ 1 tbs. olive oil, then add sauce and toss.  Dust w/ the parmesan and have more parm. at table for individuals to use on their pasta.  Mangia!! Oh, and you can buy the ingredients at your supermarket.  If good fresh tomatoes can't be obtained in your area, use 2 28 oz. cans of Italian-style tomatoes.  S&W has some good varieties and so does del monte.  Some already have the basil and garlic, and it will tell you that on the label, so if you use those be judicious about adding the other basil and garlic.

  10. Ingredients:

2 cups dried pasta (penne, spaghetti, fusilli, conchiglie, fettuccine, macaroni, dried lasagne sheets)

    1 tablespoon oil (for cooking)

    1 tablespoon oil (for tossing)

    1 teaspoon salt

    Method:

    1. Boil plenty of water in a large pan with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 tablespoon of oil.

    2. Add the pasta to the boiling water by adding a few strands or one sheet of pasta at a time.

    3. Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally and gently until the pasta is tender. Cooking times may vary with the size and the thickness of the pasta. Very small pasta (like macaroni, fusilli, conchiglie, penne) may cook in 5 to 7 minutes, while larger may take 10 min

    4. Immediately drain the cooked pasta into a sieve or a colander. Transfer to a bowl of cold water to refresh it. Drain again and keep aside.

    5. If the pasta is not to be used immediately, add 1 tablespoon of oil to it and toss it.
