Does anybody know how to take the BART from Berkeley to SF (Embarcadero)?

I'm a freshman at Davis. I need to take the shuttle to Berkeley and then take the BART back home to SF.

1. Where is the BART station at Berkeley?

2. How much does it cost?

3. Should I get on a specific BART train or just any?

I never took BART before so I have no idea how to do that. Thanks.

  1. 1.  Berkeley BART station is on 2160 Shattuck Ave about one block away from UC Berkeley's West Entrance.

    Here's the map: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&ge...

    2.  Cost depends on which station you get off in SF.  So like if you get off between Embarcadero and Civic Center stations, its like $3.25 one-way.

    3.  If during weekdays during day time, take the SF/Daly City bound train.  If during evenings and weekends, take the Fremont bound train, get off at MacArthur (stay on the same platform but the other side) and get on the SF/Daly City bound train.

Check out BART's website and you'll find out more about it:  http://www.bart.gov/index.asp  Hope this helps!

  2. Just google "BART".  Their website will tell you everything you need to know.   It's very easy.
