  1. The pay is ok but the paperwork and red tape are hellish. If you want to go in to teaching do it for the love of the job not the pay, and you wont be dissapointed.

  2. In the US, the average salary is around $47, 602 according to the American Federation of Teachers's 2005 Annual Survey.

Converted to Euros, that is 30, 679.20.

  3. I help out in my childrens primary school up on the notice board in the staff room is a union poster with pay scales on in, A probationary teacher limited to 4 days a week gets just under £20000 and it goes up to Headteacher at £44000.

  4. Different in every area-you need to google the school and check it out for yourself.

Also do a check on what the economy of the area is like so you know what's the acceptable range in that area.

  5. Have a look at the NUT site, you can calculate pay based on the area in which you live/responsibilities/qualifications.  If you don't have that info just look for pay scale for an NQT

  6. It's around €30,000 per annum I think.  It depends on whether you're teaching in an urban or rural area as well and on how many years teaching experience you have.  A friend of mine earns much more money working as a Legal Secretary in Dublin  .

  7. between 30 and 50 euros depending on what level you are at
