Does anybody know how you can hide your number when phoning abroad, or make the call look like an inside call?

I am trying to call an old friend in an ex SU country, but am having a lot of trouble calling them. Does anybody know how I could make it look like an unregistered call or an internal call as I know they've had a lot of problems with foreigners calling them in the past (no idea why but for some reason people love to call ex SU countries and sell them stuff!!!) I'd like to make the call appear as an unregistered number or if possible an internal number so they don't think I'm doing the same. I know it sounds a little strange, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

ask the network provider, but know in the UK, from number to number, mobiles included, its #141 at the beginning of the number your about to call.

you can use a calling card or caller ID spoofing card ...or even call from your computer if you have VoiP you can change your outgoing number for free!!
