Does anybody know if freshmen are allowed to have a car on campus at UCLA if they're living on campus in dorm?

I have wanted to go to this school all my life, and although I'm not old enough to apply yet, my SAT tutor tells me I have a substantial shot at getting in. I currently live in New York City (Manhattan), so if I get in, I would be living on campus.

DO THEY ALLOW FRESHMEN TO KEEP A CAR ON CAMPUS?

I know that a lot of schools do not allow freshmen to keep cars on campus, I guess there's either not enough room or they don't want them getting into accidents.

Also, if UCLA doesn't allow freshmen to keep a car on campus, is there a comparable school (preferably on the west coast, I love it out there, NY is so boring lol, but I'll accept answers for east coast schools as well) that does allow freshmen to have a car on campus? I drive a Mazda 6 if that helps in any way. (It's not like I'm driving a HUMMER that will take up a lot of room, that was my rationale for adding that last detail lol)

  1. You can get parking but it is not guaranteed.  Permits are granted on a need-based point system.

Being from out of state probably helps you cause.  Below is a list of a page site that tells your all about parking.
