  1. Yes, but buying property in Moscow is very expensive. It is more expensive than buying property in New York. ex: 1 bedroom apartment (called 2 room apartment) will cost you $200-500k depending on how close it is to the center of the city (the closer, the more expensive)

  2. yes, it is possible

  3. Whether it is or not, you would have to be very careful for scams and con artists. Prices have risen a lot as well and now Moscow is pretty expensive.

Why would you want to buy property there?

(PS. The article is old but i is something you might want to think about.)

  4. it is possible

  5. Russian legislation in the field of real estate liberal than in many European countries and allows foreigners to own houses and land - with few exceptions.

RF Constitution provides foreign citizens and persons without citizenship the same rights and duties of the Russian citizens. Exceptions are the only cases set by federal laws and international treaties. That is, in respect of immovable property to foreigners operate some restrictions.

But now an apartment in Moscow in my opinion overstated.

  6. sure it is but "buyer beware" is 100 times more important in russia than here, in the states

  7. absolutely possible and many have already bought. But it is necessary to find a good realtor, the best is a worldwide company who knows the practicalities of this business in Russia.
