Does anybody know if summer is planning to return to the UK this year or is that it now?

Plants are starting to draw now with the lack of sunlight , Normally this doesn't happen until mid September so methinks that's it

I reckon it'll return late August into September. I've used the home AC only twice this year....normally it's used far more.

i certainly hope it does as we are going camping in cornwall next week!

Don't listen to any of this inane British drivel about the weather, we are buffeted by about 5 major jet streams, so our weather changes quickly.  If you don't like the weather, just wait a while and it will have changed!

In saying all of that, it is due to pick up towards the end of the month and these improvements may actually start next week.  It could be a repeat of last year, where there was a poor spell in mid-August, but things got a lot better towards the end of the month, and then September and October were lovely.

If we are positive and cheerful, whatever weather we are experiencing, then we will be 'rewarded' in some way.....mark my words :)

But remember, it's not "global warming" anymore - now it's "climate change" and that could include cooling......

well....we had this in 2007..2004...the british summer..im convinced...is 2 boiling hot days & a thunderstorm & rain for 3 weeks...you have to take the risk for a holiday here in the uk now..chances are this week will be a washout..but we should be ok next week..dont listen to weather forecasts...the BBC weather team couldnt run a bath...let alone the UK weather..!

Yeah, this global cooling stuff is for the birds.

I wish global warming would come back.

I miss it.

Maybe if we get Al Gore to fly his jets more and idle his limos for a few more hours it will come back.

Funny you should ask, i was just thinking this myself as the heavens opened and it chucked it down once again-for about the tenth time today. I am sitting here in a winter woolly,instead of some lovely skimpy little outfit.

Will someone please tell us summer isn't over.
