I think that any color which looks "oaky" will be a disappointment to you because you will have to understand that oak has a grain which is very pronounced and is what is beautiful about it and....paint is flat, monochromatic and uniform. No matter what color you choose, it will never approximate the feeling of the oak because oak is about line, movement and texture and paint is not. That said, borrow a fan deck from your local paint store, take it home and back away from the oak you're trying to match by about 8-10 feet. At this distance, take out your fan deck and look for a color which looks like the oak you're trying to match. Do this at the 8-10 foot distance. Your eye wants to see an "optical blend", at this distance it will take the light, medium and dark parts of the wood and blend it into a tone which will become easy to see when you compare it against the offerings on your fan deck.
