  1. why not make one yourself see what the child needs and

accomedate them. go to the local hardware it should be so easy.

  2. Check out the Pine Tree Society's Kid's Project.

    http://www.pinetreesociety.org/kidsproje...

I think mostly they have wooden toys, but if you contact them, they might make something special.

Also try searching online for "Therapeutic Recreation Catalog" or something like that.

  3. Depends on the disability. A guy in Australia came up with one for wheelchairs. There are some which support the child while they are swinging in the way they sit. I saw one which is more of a hammock style as well

One thing with your 13 yr old are you sure that the swinging isn't a trigger for her seizures. I personally don't know if it could be but ask the neurologist. if this is the case maybe you could find some other type of play equipment for her which wont make her have seizures

  4. http://www.adaptivemall.com/swings.html

    http://www.abilitations.com/

These are the ones that appeared when I googled "special needs swings."  The Abilitations website is one that I am personally familiar with and I've heard of Adaptive Mall.  My experience is not usually with students who need this sort of equipment, so don't base the other websites on my experience.

  5. here are some website

www.adaptivechild.com  (I use this one frequently)

    www.flaghouse.com

    www.adaptivemall.com

    www.affordabletherapysolutions.com

  6. There are different types-

there is a platform type that the wheelchair rolls on

and there are car seat types (large enough for an older child) that crade the child-

if none of the previous store suggestions work-ask your PT or school or state dept of disability services

  7. i worked for ppl with disabilities. if u dont know u may try to finding help at human service department or the helping hand place or the department of human resourse department

  8. She may not need to swing at all then if she's having seizures.

  9. I'm a special education teacher with this same problem.  I found a great one from abilitrations.com

  10. go to your child's school guidance counselor and ask them for assistance in providing you with a catalogue of playground equipment for the handicapped.(or ask the PE teacher) if they dont have one they should be able to give you an idea of where to go from there or a website. also google your information and ideas on what you would like.
