  1. sprinkle baking soda all over the tub. Then poor white distilled vinegar on top of that, wait till it stops foaming and scrub it. I use it all the time, it takes stains out, sanitizes the tub and makes the tub look shiny.

  2. I use Clorox kitchen and bathroom cleaner with bleach... scrubbing bubbles is also good.  if all else fails, try a mr. clean magic erasers... they're magic alright.  I haven't found a stain they couldn't clean.  make sure you get the regular ones though... the foaming ones don't work as well.

  3. oxy clean is amazing

  4. If you're having problems cleaning one of those textured fiberglass tubs, I would suggest two things:  Greased Lightening will cut through many layers of grime AND I took a page for the "man handbook" of cleaning and got a Black and Decker power scrub brush.  Really takes some of the pain out of cleaning.  If you've never watched the show before, try to catch "How clean is your house" on BBC.  Aggie and Kim always have a neat household tip on cleaning just about everything with very basic ingredients.    http://www.bbcamerica.com/content/100/ti...

  5. Mr Clean

  6. I've used the Works on fiberglass showers. Can't be used on metals and porcelain though-it may etch porcelain and corrode metals. Takes out stains.

  7. You didn't say what type of tub you have.  If it's porcelain, try Mr. Clean eraser. If it's rust stain you're trying to remove, try a pumice stone.

  8. White Vinegar is the best all around all purpose cleaner/degreaser and disinfectant and is safe for your home and is also least expensive than those commercial products with chemicals that only do a minimal amount of cleaning that is least effective, vinegar is also safe around pets and children and will freshen and deodorize your home, it is very effective on all surfaces, diluted or undiluted, will also whiten and remove stains and limescale, and has been touted as being the best disinfectant in the world today Good Luck !

  9. Believe it or not, the Works toilet bowl cleaner! My husband insisted that I try it and it actually worked! I found the Works cleans just about anything. It even removed lime stains. You just squirt some on and let it sit. I tried all kinds of cleaners on my shower and could never get it white. With the Works it just came right clean. (I sound like a commercial=)  Seriously though, you can get it for a dollar at Dollar Tree.

  10. Bar Keepers Friend.  It comes in a gold cylindrical container like comet.  We have horrible well water that stains the tub orange, and it's the only thing that gets the stains out.

  11. softscrub with bleach - not bleach separate but they make softscrub w/bleach.

I find it works when nothing else does.

  12. Yep. Melaleuca "Tub and Tile" unbelievable stuff. Cleaned an old spa bath with it and it cme up like new.
