Does anybody know of a website that will tell me what a prescription drug is and what it does?

I'm looking for a site that is like a listing for all the prescribed drugs and there purpose.

RX list is a good site if you need all the technical information (like if you are in nursing school)

Medline Plus (from NIH) is another good site for anything medical. The "drugs and supplements" section is clearly written for the 'non-medical' person.
