  1. A Chantar De So Quieu Non Volria by the Comtessa di Dia. It's medieval portuguese.

  2. Geoffrey Chaucer wrote about the song "Ave Maria"  in the Canterbury Tales. That is a slow, somber song that features a woman's vocals. It is popular among the religious minded to this day.

Might be a good place to start.

  3. you can start with

" you keep coming back like a song"

It was sung by 2 females artists; Ella Fitzgerald and Dinah Shore.

Other women and several men also sung it. The composer of both lyrics and Music was Irving Berlin.

ther were other haunting ones also

"I'll be seeing you" keep looking at the music of the 1930's through to the early 1970's when that music seemed to fade from the scene in favor of the heavy beat. That old stuff was good even the instrumentalists could tear your heart out with their

    music

  4. Listen to Anonymous 4. They are amazing.

  5. greensleeves.

it sounds like olde celtic stairway to heaven, but better.

  6. Welch or Irish folk songs... they are the creepiest.
