Does anybody know of this town in Germany that may not exist today?

I'm trying to find information on a town/city called:

Struve or Strupe (or something very similar)

This was a German town/city in 1914, possible near the Russian border at that time. I don't know if it exists anymore, I cannot find anything online and wondered if anyone could help. Thank you.

At the Start of WW1 in 1914 Germany did not have a border with Russia. More likely it is/was in Poland or in the disputed area around Danzig. Most likely it was re-named by the Germans.

Not an answer I know but it might narrow down your search.
