Question

plants lose 80-90% of their water through stomata. Does the upper epidermis or the lower epidermis seem to have more stomata? and why this might be an advantage for the plants??

Stomata are usually on the under side of leaves.  This helps plants conserve moisture because the sun isn't hitting the stomata directly. (doesn't heat up and much and there isn't as much transpiration)
