  1. You can start with Sudoku, it's a good logic puzzle. How to get started? I have a link for you:

    http://www.sudoku-series.com/how_to_play...

Follow the articles. You can also play online on this site.

  2. Sudoku is a good one.

It is not about Math or numbers, it could be any symbols.

    It is all about logic.

Logic is the very foundation of all math and science.

  3. Play logic games

    Just play with numbers

Like let this bounce around your brain

You have a 5 gallon bucket and a 3 gallon bucket

    They are NOT marked

    Just plain buckets

How can you go to the well and bring me back exactly 4 gallons of water ???

  4. Sudoku is not math - it is logic.

"Not that there's anything wrong with that." (J. Seinfeld)

It just happens to use 9 digits as well known different symbols,

but they could just as well be replaced by A-I or any other

    9 symbols.

For just exercising your addition and subtraction skills,

    this game: http://www.tornadogames.com/82.html

is pretty good practice.  It starts out with low numbers,

increasing them on each level.  After a few rounds,

you know your arithmetic unit has had a workout.

There are some good problems at this site:

    http://www.contestcen.com/

I wouldn't suggest entering the money contests,

but the math puzzles and games, brain teasers, and so forth

    are pretty good.

There are also many sites devoted to pentominoes and

polyominoes (which are used in the game Tetris) which can

    exercise your spacial skills.

If you do a websearch on "math games" or "math puzzles"

or "puzzle games" you can find many sites which have them.

There are several "web rings" devoted to puzzles and games, too.

  5. Play 'kakuro', this will help you to increase your speed and depth of thinking about numbers, which is necessary in solving other mathematics problems.
