Does anybody know the code to unlock the region setting on a Sony DAV-SB300 DVD player or where I can find it?

This is really frustrating. DVD's collected from my travels and cannot play most of them. I'd like to make the change permanent and not have to open the unit. A hack that I can use with the remote would be best. Help is much appreciated.

Region code on DAV-SB300 is not defeatable.  You best bet is to buy another DVD player - like Philips-DVP5982 for $59.  It can be made region free and play PAL and NTSC disks by a simple code from the remote - check web for instructions.
