Does anybody know the status of gencircles?

There has been a free resource that I have used in the past called gencircles. It appears to be down and has been for some time. Does anybody know what the status of this site/service is?

I've been out of the loop for several years now, but I never heard of the site.

There is a site at gencircle.com (without the s) that looks like the old site, but I don't think that is it. By Googling, it looks like GenCircles was bought by MyHeritage.com, which is interesting.

For your information, Gencircles has merged with Myheritage.com.  Here is  posting revealing this information

I agree - where did it go? I've used this website for many years and just tried it - does anyone know what happened? I wrote this and then found the other messages about the myheritage website. I went there and it requires you downlowad their Active-X control in order to search the files. I got a Microsoft warning NOT to install this on my computer due to their access of my existing computer files as well as linking me to other junk I do not want being automatically installed on my computer, so.....I guess I just won't go there!
