Does anybody know the statute of limitations for drug use in MS

Question

Prior to 2005,I used a prescription medication for pain that was not mine. My X is now trying to use this against me to gain custody of our daughter. Does anyone know if this could be viable?

There's not much they can do in a criminal court with nothing more than her word. I'm assuming you're talking simple possession, a misdemeanor, in which case the statue of limitations is two years in Mississippi.

Edit: As far as using it in a custody hearing, it could hurt, especially if Mississippi is heavily biased towards mothers in custody cases.
