Does anybody know the tv show i'm thinking of?

i used to watch it in the early to mid-90s and i think it was on family channel or something but it's not listed in their programming. either way it was on cable in chicago. the best i can do is try to describe it - it took place in a high school and the main character was a guy with red hair and a cow l**k in front or something. i think his name was in the title. there was always quirky stuff going on and i think there was a big fat bully-type character... i'm just kind of hoping anyone knows what i'm talking about at this point... if you can help me out thanks, it's driving me a little crazy. it's not anything that was popular and it wasn't on nickelodeon...

it kinda sounds like this show called welcome freshman. the main kid had  red hair and there was a fat bully. only problem is it was on nickelodeon, so i'm not sure if this is what your talking about. look it up and see

I was going to say "Pete and Pete" (think that's what it was called) but that was on Nickelodeon, soo.... sorry but I can't be of much assistance. Are you sure it wasn't on nickelodeon?
