Does anybody know this person, especially Italians?

Does anybody know Umberto Mignozzi who grew up in Tirol, Italy and in 1965 was last seen in Venice, Italy? I may have spelt the name wrong. He is my father. I tried to contact the Italian consulate, but they could not help me. I placed an ad in the Venice newspaper and soon afterwards a photographer came to take pictures of me and somehow we got onto the conversation of him, but the photographer did not mention that he knows him. I moved around so many times then, that even if my father did try to find me from my ad, it would have been very difficult. He may even have sent me a letter to the address I gave in my ad, and I never got it because I moved.

My suggestion would be to write to the Hall of Records of the town of Tirol, Italy.  Do a search:  Tirol, Italy.  I know that it is part of Austria.  If you can find his family name in Tirol then you can find out where he is or emigrated to.  He may still have relatives living in Tirol.  Do a search like People Find.  He may have emigrated to the U.S. If he has a Social Security number, or a credit card in the U.S., for about $30 you can find most anyone.   If you have an idea that he lives in Venice, then try contacting the Venice City Hall.  They may be able to help you.  Try knowital.com.  That site may help you find your father.  Good Luck

there are sites on the net that can help you find your dad but you must be patient they have good turn around times but they have more resources to do it than you do so inquire with them good luck
