Scientists are defined by the science they pursue and as such there are many more disciplines than three. However I think you can categorize into three categories:

Physical, philosophical and theoretical.

I'm actually three types of scientist all in one (small) package!  I am a physicist, an astronomer, and currently work as a cosmologist.  Of course, the last two are all part of the first one, so you could add zoologist, chemist, biologist, how many more do you want?
