Does anybody know what an 8-over par is in golf? Is it good or bad?

well par is a score that is set by the golf course, so pro golfers shoot under par, most average players shoot around 10 over par. so 8 overpar is pretty good for a recreational golfer

In golf terms, I was 8 over par, meaning not bad but still had some shots to cut back on. Shooting par round is pretty d**n good for the average golfer. Meaning he/she was were they wanted to be at 40 years of age

it depends. Par is the score that you should achieve on the course and many pros score under par. if you scored 8 over par on one hole than thats bad but if you are talking over the entire course then ye thats really good

If you got 8 over par on one hole thats not good.

It is good for an average golfer, it mean he hits the ball 80 times on a 72 par course, not bad .Most golfer you see on the course hit in the high 90's so 80 is good.
