Does anybody know what book this is???!!!?

When we were doing GCSE English at school we all had to read this book, but now I cant remember what on earth it was called, and I no longer have any of my old coursework or textbooks to find out!

From what I can remember the book was about a group of kids (I think they were teenagers), they lived on the outskirts of this city which they weren't allowed to enter. The city was more or less derelict, there was loads of trouble there and it was fenced off. You had to have special passes to get through the security to get in the city. And they managed to get into the city I think.

I don't wanna read it again or anything but I just want to know what it was called because its really bugging me!!

It sounds a bit like 'Daz 4 Zoe' by Robert Swindells but I did it in year 8/9 so possibly not the one that you read for GCSE

Uglies ? Sorry, it sounds similar but it's probably not that. It's all I can think of.

You know you can look up former GCSE exam papers on the internet and it may help you narrow down which books were studied in the year you took your own GCSEs.

It may be AQA or whoever the examining body was. They are usually the ones that assign whichever books you study for the year. You can look on google to help.
