Does anybody know what core nations mean?

Core nations are nations the rest of the world revolves around, or depends upon.  Core is the center.  It is what holds the rest of the system together.

A core nation is one that is very powerful and important to the world.

(EX: USA is a core nation, East Timor is not)

Answer 3

Core nations are the most dominant countries in the global economy.

I.E. Japan would be a core nation; the Pacific island of Vanuatu would not.
