Does anybody know what is the path of Halley's comet seen once in every 76 years?

Is it hyperbolic,parabolic,circular,ellipse?? plz tell me if u got any idea

  1. Halley's Comet follows an elliptical orbit with its perihelion near the orbit of Venus and aphelion just outside the orbit of Neptune.  It travels clockwise in that orbit, which is counter to the general direction of solar system traffic.


  2. ellipse.

    all objects under the effect of gravity follow conic sections and the only conic sections that fit orbits are circular or elliptical (the rest aren't continues) and because no orbit is perfectly conic it has to follow a ellipse.
