  1. I'm guessing it Korean Tae kwon do- and spelled with a "Tae"

  2. I spent a long time (had nothing better but chess to do) looking in google for this spelling many different ways and using similar words, but came up emtpy. Sorry

As mentioned before me if there's any other information you could give us it would make worlds of difference.

  3. The "Tai" is used in all three languages as far as I know... so it is hard to tell...

Can you add on a little more info?

    Where did you hear this?

Did you get it from a movie?

    A YouTube vid?

    A friend?

A demonstration at the local mall?

These kinds of extra notes could help us answer you.

  4. Ah! That is a Taekwondo poomse (kata are Karate forms; poomse are Taekwondo forms). The "American" spelling is Tae Geuk Il Jang, pronounced TAY-GUK-EEL-JONG. It is the first form in the Tae Geuk series. There are many different series of poomse in Taekwondo, and Tae Geuk is the basic one that everyone learns as a color belt (usually).

    Hope this helps!
