Does anybody know what the twist is at the end of the film "The Strangers" and does the man or women die ?

The guy dies, the woman lives.

The killers drive away.

In the French original, 'Ils', the twist was that the killers were all young kids (about 14), but I doubt that will have made it onto the US cut.

Both the guy and girl are killed by the strangers. The killers then talk to the kids riding their bikes who end up discovering the bodies  in the home and make the 911 call that starts the movie.

they were both stabbed well the guy dies but the woman is still just alive when some kids find the bodys and the killers drive away and say "it will be easier next time" so you don't really know if the woman lives.
