  1. sun sun sun and sometimes rain rain rain, I'm french

  2. France has many climates in the summer.

Paris can be hot and humid similar to Chicago or st. Louis.

Normandy can be similar to Maine. Warm days and cool nights.

Mediterranean France warm and dry similar to Los Angeles and San Diego.

Add mountains to the mix and lose 3 degrees per 1000 feet.

  3. North of the Loire Valley (one third of the way down) - warm to hot.  South of the Loire - hot hot hot.

  4. I have been hearing for years about how terribly different one part of France is compared to another. I suspect this may have something to do with what sort of weather one is accustomed to and where one is from.

The fact is that in July the average temperature in Paris is is 24 degrees celsius/75 degrees farenheit and the average temperature in Nice is 23 degrees celsius/73 degrees farenheit. Not what I would consider a huge difference. Neither would I consider these temperatures very hot although I have often heard them described as such. But then I live in Texas where weeks of 100+ degree temperatures are normal.

Paris does get more rain than Nice and averages 2.2 inches in July while Nice gets only .6 inches.
