  1. I know that Swiss meats were stopped by the FDA.

The air dried beef was banned so I'm thinking the ban is on all Swiss meats. To bad because it was the best.

I know there's German around maybe Abrahams may have a cerverlat( not sure though) I do get there hams which are awesome.

The only other would be domestic and thats Shaller & Webber.

Bratwurst, again, I think all Swiss meat products were banned.Shaller again, but I would try a German butcher on York St. and go for a homemade. The mass produced brats are no where near as good as a good homemade.

Sorry , not much help but the ban may be lifted soon( if they didnt already).

I still don't see "Grishuna"( spelled wrong no doubt) air dried beef anywhere though.

    Heres an article.

    Read about 6 paragraphs down.

    Banned.

  2. Well since NYC has a very diverse population, I would recommend going to an International Ethnic Food Market or a European foods store. I go to ethnic food markets to get a lot of my non-American ingredients. At my local European foods market, they sell Swiss/German Bratwurst and Cervelat (and keep in mind that I don't live in a big city like NYC).
