You can easily get a digicam for $99, but cheap doesn't mean good.  You want your camera to have a decent lens and a good optical zoom.

Also, some of the cheap models are made very poorly...one drop out of your hands and it's off to the repair shop for a $75 repair.

I recommend moving up to $199 and avoiding the really cheap models - you get what you pay for!

Once you decide exactly what you want, check this site to see if you are getting the best deal. They'll look around to find you the best price.

The Brand kodak is an amazing yet cheap brand. I recommend the C813 for compact and the Z812 for Superzoom. Try target or walmart, they have the best prices!

i guess this is the cheapest yet wonderful camera with excellent specs n features .its olympus fe-310....would u believe u get 8MP ,5x  zoom and decent looking camera (not over fancy though ) from gr8 brand like olympus just fr 109 dollor.
