  1. No....not legally anyway. If your computer already has a wireless card, you can 'borrow' a neighbors internet (this is not yet illegal in the US), or you can buy a Linksys Wireless G router for $50 at Best Buy.


  2. there is no free routers, but there is always a free wifi area. Just look for one nearest you.
