Does anybody know why when i lift weights (do curls) i get a pain on the bottom of my neck?

  1. You are probably tensing those muscles.

    Or if you are lifting too much or just starting to lift weights are may be using other muscles to compensate for the lack of support from the primary muscles you are working out.  Try lifting a lighter weight and feel how tense that muscle it, or watch yourself in a mirror.

    Make sure your body is in a comfortable position too.  You do not want to be twisting anyway you're not supposed to.  

    If it continues, I would see a doctor about it,
