Does anybody know with absolute certainty how much oil is in the groung?

How can you know for sure! These are just estimates, and all we are certain about is it is getting more difficult to find

Nobody can they are all wild "guestimates" that scientists get a lot of dosh for.

Well they have to say something do they not?.

I watched a documentary about how it is running out, and believe it or not they don't even pump the wells all the way out, they pump them about 1/2 way out then cap off the well, they predicted that there is around 300 billion barrels left on the planet, enough to last the world another 200 years, but because 3rd world countries are now getting automobiles that the few oil pumps they have going cannot keep up with the demand, there for that is why the price is so freakin high, if the USA would open back up a few more refineries we would be alright, plus the USA is working on a project where they are trying to pump out all the oil from the ground including the sludge in the dirt, by sifting it out, I don't know this is just what I watched on the science channel like a week ago, I thin we are in no dire threat of running out of oil right now, but the gov't sure likes you to think that so they can raise the price on you!
