Does anybody knows about market for artistic candles?

Question

My wife is freelance artist and make beautifull scented candles in our home. I start researching about those candles and I couldn't find any of this kind on the market, nobody is selling something like this. Her candles are semi-transparent with peaces of dryed fruit (such as slice of apple if scent is apple, etc). We do have webpage but I am in dilema to put this candles on web or not. Anybody know any ways to sell them? Anybody interested?

They sound like lovely candles!  I make candles too and have just recently started my own website.  It's a tough market because it's hard to compete with the large corporations that can mass produce candles very inexpensively.  You have to find a target audience that really cares about the art behind the craft.  I say go for it!  Put your pictures up on your site - what could that hurt?  Maybe do a local craft fair or see if any of the gift shops in your area would be willing to carry them.  It is such a fun hobby...why not give it a try on the business end?  Good luck to you both!

If she is interested in selling them she can try doing home party shows. However given her talent she should definetly look for local craft shows. People LOVE homemade items and craft shows will be her best bet. Also tell her to check some local shops that sell items made by locals....she could possibly rent a store shelf to sell them or sell them on consignment through the shop owner.
