  1. The easiest way to answer this question is to either simply use the Quadratic Formula, or, set the equation equal to zero and factor.

    Either way, you get the answers x = .5 and x= -2

  2. 2x^2+3x-2

    (2x-1)(x+2)

  3. 2x^2 + 3x - 2 = 0

    (2x - 1)(x + 2) = 0

    2x - 1 = 0, x + 2 = 0

    2x = 1

    x = 1/2

    x = -2

  4. 2x^2+3x-2=

    (2x-1)(x+2)=0

    2x-1=0   x+2=0

    x = -2 and 0.5

  5. ok the reason why all the other folks got this question wrong is that  you only need to factor not solve

    2x^2+3x-2=

    (2x-1)(x+2)

    2x*2 -1*x = middle term yay!

    and thats it!
