Does anybody like jacob better than edward?

Question

hmmm so i know a lot of people are tired of twilight questions, but i gotta ask this.

does anybody like jacob better than edward?

of course in the first book i loved edward, but when the second book came around, i found myself falling in love with jacobs character. it was so sweet how he was there for bella and was her 'sunlight' after edward left her and destroyed her. i think the second book was my favorite because of the jacob storyline. it was so sweet.

in the third book, even after edward's return, i found myself rooting for jacob. i started to like jacob even MORE and dislike edward more as the book went on. edward was so... controlling, and bella never stood up to him! it pissed me off so much. no guy should EVER be able to tell a girl who she can and cannot see or prevent her from seeing somebody like edward did. it was controlling and obsessive in my opinion.

jacob also seemed to be more... 'real' than edward. he had this boyish charm about him, and he actually had a PERSONALITY. him and bellas relationship was so much more developed than her and edwards... and their whole story was just so sweet. my heart broke for him at the end.

all in all, i still like edward, but i couldn't help myself by wishing bella had chosen jacob... anybody else agree with me or no?

I agree with you about him having more of a personality and also about him being more interesting and less controlling than Edward but there is still something about Edward i think for me.

While i do think edward was a bit controlling,i do think bella belongs with him instead of jacob. she fell for edward first and her relationship with jacob in the last book just seemed a bit odd to me.

i just wish stephenie meyer coulda made edward's personality more colorful like she did with jacobs

I think Jacob is great.  Truth be told, I married someone very much like Jacob.  When I read about Jacob, I see lots of the same traits that my husband has.  It's just more... real.

And real is great... to a point.  But I already live in reality.  When I escape in a book, I want something better than reality.  Something like Edward Cullen.  We all know that Edward Cullen doesn't really and could never exist, but that's kind of the point.  He's outside of this reality.  He doesn't belong to this world.  

I know what the ending is like when someone chooses a Jacob.  And it's a fine ending to be sure.  But sometimes it's nice to see someone who chose the other path.

I dont totally agree w/ that but i did feel extremly sorry for Jacob. the way it turns out in the end of the series (that Jacob imprints) is better than Bella and Jake getting together...There are plenty of people who like Jacob better than Edward though not just you.

jacob is so much cooler, and has so much more to offer, seeing as he's amazing. xD
