Does anybody own a scooter?

Question

They seem pretty safe but dangerous at the same time. I'm getting one tomorrow. Just curious.

They are safe if you ride as if you assume no drivers can see you.  A motorcycle safety course would be a great idea.  Always wear safety gear.  Full face helmet and anti road rash attire at all times - even for quick rides - most accidents happen close to home.  Wear a yellow day glow vest over your jacket.  Most accident s happen at intersections where a car makes a left turn and does not see the rider coming straight across the intersection.  So be very cautious in those situations.  Car drivers after an accident claim they did not see the rider - so I can't stress the high visibility attire strongly enough.  Riding is a lot of fun - and it is still fun even if you are very safe.

i have a motorcycle and my friend has a scooter.  said it was the best 3 grand they ever spent.  great for city driving.  just beware of other drivers.  people dont see you as easy as if your in a car so they tend to cut you off frequently.

we got one,got to watch the traffic good,cause people today don,t watch out for you. there good on gas.just be carefull.they are easy to handle.
