I don't recall reading or hearing here on YA or anywhere else someone actually claiming that he is the messiah or deifying him in any way.

  1. I love how the GOP is trying to win the Presidency by acting like popularity of a candidate is a negative.

I wish them luck with that nonsense!

They should be more concerned with this:

  2. Well that is what his non supporters love to call his supporters, lol.  I guess they are "worshipers" of Sen McCain if that is the logic.  Sen Obama's supporters have been called every name in the book, including un American, simply because they support him.  I ask them do they want to be the pot or the kettle, lol?

Edit - Good point Friendly Stranger. I'm guessing that thumbs down was because you made too much sense, so it had to be wrong, lol.

  3. Nobody really considers him to be the messiah. Its that the behavior of his supporters treat him like he is the greatest thing outside of the second coming of Christ. That is people fainting  At his rallies, gatherings, etc., etc.

What brings out the term is that people gather around him without question. They don't really know what change is or what hope is. Just behaving in knee jerk reaction. His followers don't question him. Unlike McCain. He has less supporters because of what he has done historically in the past. McCain leans more to the left, then he does to the right.

Another reason for calling Obama the messiah is that Hillary had worked harder then he to get to this point politically. She was dumped by her party and the media in support of a male candidate, who is new to the scene and supposedly having clean fingernails. NOT. In typical male fashion, Hillary was set aside for Obama. Not once, but twice. In the elections for the lead candidate and likewise for the VP spot. Hillary got crapped on not once but twice by males, Obama and Viden.

Yes, Obama is the messiah of the democrat party and he can do no wrong. The glass ceiling that Hillary was about to break, was moved out of her reach. Now McCain introduces a female VP and all h**l broke loose. But at least it wasn't McCain who stabbed Hillary in the back. It was the messiah and his party. There was no change, just a male dominated party doing business as usual.

The only real solution is for Obama to drop out and let Hillary take over. But that will never take place in a thousand years. At least not in a democrat male party.

  4. OSAMA OBAMA

OH PLEASE BOMB US OSAMA OBAMA

    OSAMA BIN LADEN

    LINDEN

DOESN'T ANYONE SEE THE CONNECTION OF THE EVIL RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT

McCain and Palin Supporter ~ Keep the old while bringing in some new young fresh ideas who has a son in military

    100% for it

Between the two of them they will do what is right for the American people as well as their family!!!!

  5. They are trying to subliminally paint him as the Anti-Christ, by calling him the Messiah.

  6. I am an Obama supporter, and I do not think he's the Messiah. I think he will do good for the country, more so than McCain.

  7. He is neither the messiah nor the antichrist that the right-wingers are painting him as.

  8. It's not a right wing caricature - it is the best description of how the LIBS are treating this man.

  9. Welllllllll! he said there were 57 states. Thats a start. There are 57 islamic states.

You think if you were running for president you might find out how many states you were going to be in charge of, would'nt you think?

  10. To call him "the messiah" in actuality would be blasphemous towards his own religion.  Obviously his supporters don't think that he is a demigod, or some savior, but the nickname does have a point.

Many supporters DO look at Obama as if he is going to solve all of America's problems, often despite the fact that he has given no real ways to solve many of those problems, only promises of change and hope.

People see many problems and want solutions, but Obama has given very few plans to actually solve these problems, but has promised to do it.  In Obama, many of his supporters do not see someone who has a plan for how to bring about change, but someone who is going to be elected, snap his fingers, and magically the problems are going to go away.  (I'm obviously exagerating, but in a way, it is what many people are doing)

They aren't trying to elect a politician with a plan, they're trying to elect a miracle worker, with hope and promise.  And what do we call a miracle worker?  A Messiah.

  11. Of course it is a right-wing caricature. And I agree that the Repugnicans are just trying to subliminally paint Obama as the anti-christ. He is neither a messiah or the anti-christ. He's just a man. But, he's the the right man for these times. He can hopefully start to mend some of the vast divides that George W. has managed to create and/or widen during his 8 horrible years.

  12. I don't believe so, but maybe its a sub-conscious worship.  Its absolutely a load of c**p cooked up by conservatives.  They love to paint pictures of Obama as the leader of a nation-wide cult or something.  I just sit back and laugh ( while praying my 15-foot, 24 carat gold statue of Obama).

  13. Just because they worship false Gods, then think everyone else does.  It's called "projection."

  14. The reason why you aren't hearing it is because he isn't the messiah.  You are correct in that it is an attempt of the right to make the left seem foolish.  Now you have to admit that there have been some Obama supporters that take him too seriously, however I think that Obama being the messiah, that's just insane, because if he were the messiah, don't you think he'd have the answers to all of earth's problems?  Also if he were so perfect like God is, don't you think he would have cleaned the floor with Hilary during the debates? Its all immaturity because Obama is human just like the rest of us, end of story.

  15. Nope....just a caricature.

  16. Whatever

Obama is just the right one at the right time

  17. Yes, Obama is the messiah. Thank you for asking.

  18. He is the "ONE" that will destroy this couintry.......

  19. He ia just the definition of the anti christ

  20. I'm voting for him, and I don't think he is the messiah or even the answer to all of our problems. He is just more idealistic and creative than McCain and the Republicans. Frankly, this is more about getting rid of the fools that governed the nation the past 8 years than it is about Obama. McCain is and always has been a part of the problem. h**l if I'm voting for him.

  21. i havn't heard the left deny it as of yet....hehehe

mrtaco, and Biden is just a heart beat away, shotty old stanky politician

  22. See what others are saying:

  23. anti-christ?

  24. It's a caricature.  I also find it kind of funny as the right keep calling Obama our messiah but at the same time keep telling us how Godless we are.

  25. I am an Obama supporter and I have not met anyone that thought he was anything amazing.  Most Obama supporters are unhappy with a few of his positions, but they know he is WAY better than the opposition.

  26. Obama is not so great at all, They just hate Bush sooo much they'll take anyone.

  27. He aint the messiah, he's a ray of light or hope rather. Haters made up the title

  28. Heck no...FYI, the Messiah already came. The Messiah is Jesus

  29. Don't forget, actions are more important than words. Watch how much coverage McCain will get this week. Almost none. Go figure. I wish Ron Paul were still running. A true American.

  30. No, he is not a messiah. It is a right-wing caricature of Obama supporters. To them, if you don't fall in line with their beliefs, you hate this country. And since Obama doesn't fit their mold, they will use every trick up their sleeves to bring him down and the messiah complex that they say he has is just one of many tricks from them.
