Does anybody remember the game "Dark Tower"?

I remember playing that game with my family for a week straight. We'd stay up until 3,4 o'clock in the morning and then couldn't wait to get up and play it again.

Don't you wish they would re-make that game? They could make it so cool nowadays with all this technology.

  4. Yes, it combined to two worst characteristics of a board game: it's dull and expensive. You seem to remember it fondly so here is a link to where you can play it online. Scroll three-quarters of the way down the screen and click on the first link. (You may have to register at Boardgame Geek but it's free and worth the time) http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/30

  5. Yvonne, I not only remember it... I STILL OWN IT!!!!

Sounds like you've gotten some really jaded answers so far, but I always thought it was a great game too...

I've also thought MANY TIMES that Milton Bradley should come out with a remake!!  Instead of little pictures they could have a LCD screen with animated action!!  And of course the sound effects could be ANYTHING with voice and all with today's technology!!

I even thought that if it was remade... that they should make it into a 6-player game...  That way you would have to travel through 5 foreign Kingdoms to get all the keys...  Can you imagine trying to solve the riddle of the keys at the end with FIVE???

Of course you'd have to add some more things to buy, and have many different types of monsters that would attack you instead of just "Brigands" all the time... And, when you did get into a fight... the number of enemies would be totally random, instead of always being close to the number of warriors that you have like it is now...

They could make a REALLY GREAT sequel out of it!!!  But, I'm not sure, but it seems like I've heard that there are some kind of "Legal" issues surrounding Dark Tower...  That may be why we have never seen a sequel to that fantastic journey of a game!!
